JUPC OF ALL   GENERATIONS.........................

  It has been long since the past, present and future of JUPC assembled under one roof. This time at the end of another long and eventful year, we did reunite… the first generation JUPC members, the next and the current on the 29^th of December of 2007. The spacious hall in the amenity centre, beside the canteen housed the reminiscing seniors and the eager, enthusiastic present members. Sri. Hemendu Biswas, the ex dean of students and Sri. Ashoke Mukhopadhyay, the founder member of JUPC kept us enthralled with their fond remembrances of 'those good old' days' in JU , the high-ground of all cultural activities and JUPC , the one 'hobby' club that stood the test of time to become a 'passion' club.

Selected photographs taken by the present members and the freshers of the club were displayed and appreciated. A brief presentation on the club's present activities, plans and aims followed. The issue of the club's urgent need to switch to digital photography was discussed. Soon after the refreshment break, it was time for some of the seniors to leave…but before they left we made sure all the members of the club, senior and present, were caught in a frame together. The seniors displayed their photos, landscapes and lifestyle captured in different parts of the world much to general awe and admiration. In the break that was followed by dinner, Sri Gautam Dutta played on the flute old bangla numbers and Swing da accompanied him on the guitar.

Dinner was indeed a jolly affair with Rajib da's impromptu rendition of a popular duet and Pratyush da's soulful songs and loads of funny quotes and quips. When the party disbanded finally there was contentment and happiness all around. The seniors had blessed and encouraged us to carry forward the legacy and we learnt the important lesson of humility and treasuring the past.

Thank you seniors for making this event such a memorable and pleasurable one. You have remained our inspirations as ever and together we shall keep up the name of JUPC as one of the promising organizations in the world of photography.
