I like JUPC though I had visited many clubs and organizations because of the fact that there is no quarrel among the students for the chair of responsibilities.

I would like to see more of JUPC photos, they have the PASSION.

For long long years, JUPC have been generating interest and enthusiasm not only among the students but also others. Their VIBRANT enthusiasm is honest and dedicated.
Welcome to JUPC...
We are a club run by students who apart from studying in Jadavpur University keep on organizing and participating actively in photographic events. For managing the all round club activities we have different units who look after the respective activities. [Know More]
Every year our session kicks off with the admission of freshers to the university and throughout the year we are involved in following events while keeping pace with the university course works:
1. Training session begins around mid August and consists of 4 to 5 weeks of introduction to photography including darkroom techniques and finishing works of a photograph. [Know More]
2. During the October vacation, an annual short ramble to any nearby destination is organised which is generally of 4 to 5 days. [Know More]
3. On the 24th December, Annual Convocation Day, we are asked by the university to provide photography service; which we do at a very nominal price. [Know More]
4. On the evening of the same day we welcome our freshers to the club and they are formally introduced to all our seniors and present members.
5. Around mid March our annual event is exhibited at one of the art exhibition halls in Kolkata. [Know More]
6. The end of session is marked by another photographic ramble which is generally longer and takes 10 to 15 days. [Know More]
Alongside this we keep on participating in national and international events and roam in and around Kolkata on holidays and weekends pursuing our photographic interests. We don’t follow any particular genre of photography but our inclination towards street photography has earned name here.
We meet in the club premises, situated at the first floor of the Amenity Centre canteen, Jadavpur University and all meetings are open to the regular members of our club. Annual General Meeting is held at the start of session when an old batch passes out and this is presided by the officials of the university. We also gather to discuss ideas about our annual event, convocation and ramble under the presiding of the assigned conveners.
